The Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) is the leading national platform dedicated to the advancement of sustainable and renewable energy in Bangladesh. Established in 2011, BSREA is a non-profit, non-political, and membership-based organization that unites industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, technical experts, academia, and development partners working across the clean energy value chain.

To accelerate the deployment of renewable energy by enabling private sector participation, promoting innovative technologies, supporting policy advocacy, and fostering national and international collaboration.
What We Do
1. Policy Advocacy & Dialogue
BSREA actively engages with the Government of Bangladesh, development partners, and stakeholders to influence progressive renewable energy policies, including tariff reforms, investment incentives, and sustainable procurement guidelines.
2. Capacity Building & Skills Development
We offer training, workshops, and industry linkages to promote local expertise in solar, wind, storage, hybrid systems, and green finance—especially for women and youth.
3. Public-Private Partnerships
BSREA supports collaborative ventures with government institutions, multilateral agencies, and the private sector to drive bankable projects in rooftop solar, utility-scale solar, floating solar, mini-grids, and energy efficiency.
4. Market Development & Research
We conduct market assessments, publish industry insights, and identify investment opportunities in emerging sectors such as green hydrogen, EV infrastructure, and solar-powered agriculture.
5. Networking & Representation
As the recognized voice of the private renewable energy sector in Bangladesh, BSREA facilitates B2B connections, represents members at national and international forums, and hosts flagship events like Renewable Energy Fests, Dialogues, and Investment Summits.
