Afghansistan Builders Association(ABA)
Established in 2004 with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and construction companies, the Afghanistan Builders Association (ABA) with headquarters in Kabul, is the largest construction association in Afghanistan, with delegation offices in Jalalabad, Kandahar, Mazar‐e‐Sharif and Herat.
The ABA has over 600 member engineering and construction companies, and concentrates its efforts on professionalizing and strengthening the Afghan construction sector by providing various capacity building, capacity development, CQM, scheduling and safety training. ABA provides all required US Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) training to Afghan construction companies.
The ABA provides many services which meet its members and the construction sector needs offering training programs such as Primavera (Project Scheduling), CQM, advanced electrician, and safety training, as well as prepare workshops, meetings, conferences (matchmaking conferences, foreign and governmental conferences) and exhibitions.
The ABA also publishes the ABA magazine and an informative website. The ABA strives to develop and promote the construction sector with the help of foreign governments to effectively implement the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Afghanistan.
