Lately, China’s PV industry is searching for more progress since COVID-19 has been put under control in the country. Here comes a collection of PV industry hot spots in China by PV Guangzhou Committee.
【Industry Policy】
Ø On April 2, Notice on the Policy of Photovoltaic Power Generation (2020) was issued. From June 1, China’s guiding prices for new centralized PV power stations in the I-III resource areas are respectively 0.35 yuan, 0.4 yuan, 0.49 yuan per kWh; the subsidy standard for industrial and commercial distributed PV project is 0.05 yuan per kWh, and for household distributed PV system is 0.08 yuan per kWh.
Ø On April 1, Hebei issued the province’s plan for the construction of PV power generation projects in 2020, supporting the construction of parity and bidding PV power generation projects in qualified areas. Besides, qualified areas with rich light resources and well land conditions are encouraged to leverage the local advantages for higher revenue of the projects.
【Investment & New Project】
Ø On April 5, Qinghai Energy Bureau issued its tender announcement of the 2020 PV Bidding Project. With a total scale of 2GW, the project covers twenty 100MW-packages, of which 16 in Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Hainan and 4 in Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
Ø On April 3, the clean energy project signing ceremony between Binhai District and State Power Investment Corporation Limited (Shaanxi) was successfully held. The project includes several sub-projects like photovoltaic power generation and hydrogen energy, with a planned investment of about 10 billion yuan.
Ø On March 31, Hebei Energy Bureau announced the province’s first batch of 43 key hydrogen energy projects in 2020, including four photovoltaic hydrogen production projects with a total investment of 258 million yuan.
Ø On March 28, only costing about 280 days, the project of LONGi 5GW monocrystalline silicon solar cell industry park was delivered ahead of schedule. As one key projects of Shaanxi in 2019, it covers a construction area of about 100,000 sq.m., and is expected to reach an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan.
Ø On March 27, GCL System announced its cooperation with Hefei Feidong County People's Government on the construction of 60GW modules and supporting industry base. It’s expected that the total investment will reach 18 billion yuan, and the annual output value will not be less than 40 billion yuan.
Ø On March 24, JA Solar announced that its subsidiary plans to construct a 300MW PV parity grid project in Chaoyang City, Liaoning. With a total investment of 1.45 billion yuan, the project will bring JA Solar larger construction scale of PV power stations, higher sales and wider application of PV modules.
